On May 14, 2025 members of the St. Albans-Alexandria merger commission voted unanimously to place the conditions of a merger between the township and the Village on the ballot in November. Read the article here.

The Licking County Board of Elections determined on May 27 that the Village of Alexandria's proposed income tax issue on the May primary ballot resulted in a tie vote. The issue, therefore, fails. We extend our sincere appreciation to all those who participated in the voting process. Your engagement is vital to the health of our local community.

While the outcome presents ongoing financial challenges, the Village remains steadfast in its commitment to serving residents. We will continue to exercise fiscal responsibility and work diligently to provide essential services

The Village of Alexandria has been awarded a $65,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Development to help update our Comprehensive Plan!

Our current plan was last updated in 2006, and it’s time for a fresh look at how Alexandria is growing and changing. This grant will allow the Village to bring in professional help to make sure the plan is done right—and it frees up Village funds for other important projects.

In the coming weeks, the Village will be looking for community volunteers to serve on the planning committee. This group will work closely with planners and provide input on what’s important to our residents. If you care about Alexandria’s future, we’d love to have you involved!
