The grant-funded Pedestrian Safety project will add new and improve existing crosswalks, add pedestrian signals, extend sidewalks along Main Street where none currently exist and improve overall roadway safety.

Estimated Completion: Winter 2026 (weather dependent)

The Village is currently obtaining quotes for patch paving at locations throughout the Village where potholes, deteriorated pavement, and other problem areas need attention. This project will focus on targeted repairs to extend the useful life of existing streets rather than full roadway resurfacing.

Initial Grounds Improvement: Fall 2026

The Village has entered into a lease agreement for the Captain Scott House property and is beginning work to improve and restore the grounds. Initial improvements will begin this fall as the Village develops plans for the property’s future use as a community gathering space.
