​Alexandria Trick-or-Treat Night is October 31, 2024

The Village will host its annual trick-or-treat night on Thursday, October 31 from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm.

​St. Albans-Alexandria merger commission granted year extension for research, writing ballot language

The merger commission, created to explore merging the governments of the 500-person village and the surrounding township of another 2,000 people, was supposed to be done with the ballot language by Aug. 7 this year, which would allow the residents to vote on the language in 2025. ​Alexandria Town Hall meeting to discuss replacement tax levy on November ballot scheduled for Tuesday, October 8

Mayor Sean Barnes, Council President Mike Miller, and Councilperson Carianne Meng will be on-hand at the Alexandria Public Library on Tuesday, October 8 from 6-8 pm to answer questions and lead a discussion regarding a replacement levy on the November ballot for Village Operating Expenses.

Quick Facts:

• The Village’s existing 4-mill Operating Expenses tax levy expires at the end of 2024.

• The proposed replacement levy on the November ballot will continue at the same rate (4-mill) for a term of five years and will continue to be used for Operating Expenses.

• The Licking County Auditor has certified that the proposed tax levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 home approximately $140.00 annually.
